Three clenched fists, with the caption #ENDSARS Support our fight to end police brutality in Nigeria.

For the past few days, #endsars has been trending worldwide and even if you aren’t Nigerian, you must have stumbled across it on social media or the news.

Why We Are Protesting in Nigeria to End SARS — MARIAM’S WORLD

Young Nigerians are currently engaged in a battle for their lives, as the government opens fire on peaceful protesters who have gathered across the country to protest police brutality. I do not have the words to fully capture my emotions right now, but I want to use my platform to keep people informed. Please read Mariam Shittu’s post (linked above) to learn more about the #EndSARS movement in Nigeria. Thank you Mariam for writing this blog post. Just as I called for us to stand in solidarity with Black people in America during the Black Lives Matter protests, I hope you can lend your voices to this cause.

I am so proud of all the people who are finally speaking up about the injustices that Nigerians face in our country. Stay safe out there everyone, and join us in our fight to end police brutality in Nigeria. If you are looking for ways to help, check out feministcoalition2020.com.
